Check-In / Check-Out
Check-in time is 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 12:00 PM (noon).
Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and is subject to availability. Guests are encouraged to arrive early when possible—luggage can be stored securely, and our private beach, restaurant, and pools are available for your enjoyment while waiting for your accommodation. Orientation and guided tours are best conducted during daylight hours.
Eco-Conscious Living
Great Huts is an eco-resort designed to harmonize with nature, featuring open-air structures and natural materials. Air-conditioned villa-style rooms are available and recommended during periods of stronger wind or rainfall.
Guests should expect an immersive experience with nature, including the sounds of crickets and frogs, and occasional sightings of birds, hermit crabs, and tropical flora.
Mosquito nets and coils are provided in all accommodations. Citronella incense, Blue Mountain natural mosquito repellant, and candles are available upon request.
Children and Pets
Children are welcome under parental supervision. Please note that certain huts may not be suitable for very young children due to open architectural designs.
Pets are not permitted on the property, as two resident dogs live on-site.
Health, Safety, and Conduct
Guests must adhere to all applicable local and national health advisories. Respect for fellow guests, staff, wildlife, and the natural environment is required at all times.
-
The use of single-use plastics should be minimized; please ask staff for recycling options.
-
Loud music and disruptive behavior are not permitted.
-
Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.
-
Proper attire is requested while dining on the Safari Deck.
Property Use and Safety
Due to the resort’s cliffside and forested location, all guests are required to sign a liability waiver upon check-in.
Guests are encouraged to wear sneakers or comfortable shoes when walking the grounds. Water shoes are useful for beach access. Beach towels are provided, and snorkel sets are available for rent.
Swimming, surfing, excursions, yoga, and massage can be coordinated through the resort team. Please note that lifeguards are not always present—swim at your own risk and always with a companion.
Avoid swimming or using the Snake Trail after dark. Exercise caution and good judgment, especially with children and during changing weather or ocean conditions.
Private parking is available inside the gates for villa guests and outside the main gates for all others. The resort is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles or personal belongings. Safes are provided in all huts and rooms for valuables.
Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit of US$150 is required upon arrival, payable by cash or credit card authorization. This deposit covers potential damages, losses, or incidental charges incurred during your stay.
The deposit will be refunded in full after check-out, following an inspection confirming no damages or missing items.
In the event of damages or additional charges, Great Huts Resort reserves the right to deduct the applicable amount. Guests will be contacted with a detailed report and cost breakdown. Any remaining balance will be refunded, or additional payment may be requested if necessary.
