 Great Huts Beach

Great Huts is located on Boston Bay with access to one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in Jamaica. It also features its own private on property beach with lounge chairs and hammocks, as well a natural ocean tidal pool & Jacuzzi and has spectacular views of Boston Bay and the Caribbean, the North East coastline and the foothills of the blue mountains.

JUNGLE SETTING

• Please take special care climbing the steep ladders to the second and third levels of some of our huts, walking shoes are very helpful

• Hot water in every category of hut and all air conditioned rooms

• Water shoes are helpful on our beach

• Guests are advised to bring sneakers and hiking shoes (rocky pathways and floors)

• Mosquitoes, though we are in nature surprisingly do not become bothersome unless there has been a lot of rain. We do regular pest conrol, have all natural mosquito candles and Blue Mountain insect repellant for guest use for added comfort

Payment terms/POLICIES

Pricing and Taxes

10% Government tax and US$1.00 per night Guest Accommodation Room Tax is added to rates at the time of booking. 

• Reservations require a deposit of 50% and full payment is kindly requested on arrival. Group bookings and wedding parties full payment is due 14 days prior to arrival. 

• Accepted payment methods: Cash, visa and mastercard. 

• Rates are quoted in USD exclusive of taxes unless otherwise stated. 

• Local rates and off season pricing are available for 3 night min midweek stays, please reach out to us direct. 

Check-In / Check-Out

• Check-in: 3:00 PM

• Check-out: Noon

• Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability. We do encourage early arrival whenever possible, belongings can be stored safely and our private beach, small restaurant and pools can be enjoyed should there be a wait. It is best to get oriented and receive a tour during daylight hours. 

Eco-Conscious Living

• Great Huts is an eco-resort; accommodations integrate natural materials and open-air designs. There is the option of air-con villa styled rooms available and recommended if the weather brings stronger winds and rain into open huts on rare occasions. 

• Expect interaction with nature: sounds of crickets, frogs, sights of birds, small hernit crabs and tropical vegetation. 

• Mosquito nets and coils are provided, citronella incense and all natural Blue Mountain mosquito repellant and candles are also available. 

Children & Pets

• Children are welcome under supervision. Some huts may not be suitable for very young children due to open design.

• Pets are generally not allowed, as we do have two dogs on the property.

Health & Safety/Conduct 

• Guests must comply with any local or national health advisories.

• Respect for fellow guests, staff, wildlife, and the environment is mandatory. 

• If using single use plastics, please ask us to recycle. 

• No loud music or disruptive behavior. 

• Smoking allowed in designated areas. 

• Please cover beach wear while dining on the Safari Deck.

Property Use 

• All guests are required to sign a waiver as we are located on in a cliffside, forested setting. 

• Sneakers or comfortable walking shoes are recommended to walk and enjoy our property, Water shoes are helpful on our beach and beach towels are provided. Snorkel sets are also available for rent. Surfing, excursions, yoga and massage can be coordinated by our team and all 

• No lifeguard at pools or beach, unless during peak holiday weekend times. Swim with a buddy and stay within your depth. 

• Avoid swimming and walking the snake trail after dark, please exercise good judgement. 

• Supervise children closely, do not swim alone and be cautious of changing conditions and currents. 

• Private parking inside our gates for those who book our villa and also available outside our main gates. The resort is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles or belongings. 

• We recommend securing your valuables and offer safes in every hut or room.

Security Deposit 

• Upon your arrival to Great Huts, we require a security deposit of US $150. This fully refundable securitydeposit may be guaranteed by credit card or paid in cash. 

• The stated amount for this deposit serves only as insurance for any loss/ damaged/ missing items and or any outstanding incidentals incurred during your stay. 

• Your deposit will be refunded in full after check out and a thorough inspection is conducted to verify the condition of the room or hut.

• Great Huts Resort reserves the right to charge the total amount of damages and/or other expenses incurred during your stay at the hotel. 

• We will contact you prior to charging this amount, and outline the details and cost of the damages/expenses.

•  Depending on this total, you will either be refunded of the balance or be asked for the excess amount.

Cancellation Policy: We understand that travel plans can change. To ensure fairness to both our guests and our small, eco-friendly team, the following cancellation terms apply:
Standard Bookings

• • 30+ Days Before Arrival:- Full refund minus a 10% processing fee of the total booking value.
  • 15–29 Days Before Arrival:- Receive a 50% refund of the total booking value.
  • 14 Days or Less Before Arrival:- No refund will be issued.

Peak Season & Holiday Bookings

• (Christmas, New Year’s, Jamaican Public Holidays)
  • A non-refundable deposit of 30–50% is required at time of booking.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable.

Force Majeure - In cases of extreme events such as natural disasters, refunds less processing fees take effect
